Refuge Students meet each Wednesday Night @ 6:30 – 8:00pm.

Refuge, the Student Ministry of First Baptist Church Lake Park, is the place to be each Wednesday Night at 6:30pm. Refuge is for all students who are currently in the 6th – 12th grade. It is where connection happens with other students and caring adults.

The storms and pressures of this world are constantly whirling, attacking, and exploding around and in the lives of students. Refuge strives to be just that, a refuge where they can find hope, strength, encouragement, and healing in the midst of some of the toughest years of discovering their purpose and identity.

Grounded in leading students higher in worship, deeper in commitment, and further in evangelism, students can always expect an environment of sincerity, strong Biblical teaching, and a safe place to bring their friends and hang out.  Everyone needs a Refuge…what are you going to do about it this Wednesday?

A typical night at Refuge includes a fun game, large group worship and teaching, and small group discussion.

Safety is top priority for our families with children. Our Student Ministry is staffed by Church Members who have completed our Next Steps Membership class and undergone a certified Background Check.

Current Teaching Series:

The Path-A Study in Ephesians

The Christian life is a journey. The book of Ephesians walks us through the journey of biblical discipleship and it starts with “done” not “do”.

In this series we learn how to rest in what Jesus has done first so that we can walk in what He is doing as we stand for truth and against Satan in our daily lives.

The Path is simple, but HUGE! The Path is possible, but MESSY! The Path is true, but ATTACKED! Come join us as we learn to sit…walk…stand in Jesus.
